Australian Manufacturers: Make 10 Minutes Count

Skills shortages. Rising costs. Productivity pressure. Capital investment. Automation.

If these issues are affecting your business, there’s an opportunity right now to make sure they’re heard.

AMTIL has launched its National Advanced Manufacturing Census, calling on Australian manufacturers and industry suppliers to share what is actually happening on the ground.

It takes around 10 minutes and closes 18 September 2026. Click here to have your say!

At Industrial Robotics, we regularly share grants, funding opportunities, industry initiatives and practical resources that can help Australian manufacturers invest, automate and grow. This Census is worth adding to that list. Government policy and industry programs are shaped by evidence. The stronger the response from manufacturers, the clearer the case becomes for action around the issues that matter:

  • skills and workforce shortages;
  • productivity and competitiveness;
  • investment in new equipment and technology;
  • automation and advanced manufacturing adoption;
  • funding and incentives; and
  • the conditions Australian manufacturers need to grow.

If these are challenges you’re dealing with, this is a simple opportunity to put your experience into the data.

What happens with your response?

AMTIL will use the Census to build a national picture of the priorities and barriers facing advanced manufacturing. Responses will be de-identified and aggregated, with the findings contributing to a published Census report and AMTIL’s engagement with government.

The online Census will also be followed by member roundtables around Australia to explore the issues raised in greater detail.
